Dr. Wee ‘s Clinic was located at No. 16 Jalan Ismail. Dr. Wee was highly respected for his ethics as a doctor. He showed great empathy and sympathy to his poor patients and often waived their medical fees. He was called “the doctor of the folks”. Dr. Wee engaged himself in politics since 1950’s. He had participated in the national election in 1959 but he was defeated by Lee San Choon, a new face from MCA National Youth. He became the national Secretary General for the Labour Party in 1964, later he became the vice president of The Malayan Peoples’ Socialist Front in 1965. He became a famous photographer in Kluang and Malaysia after he stepped back from politics.
